Housing — Tropicana (Isla Vista)
Fantastic housing option for athletes, coaches, and parents who are interested: it’s about a 3-minute walk from Tropicana Gardens to Storke Field, so no rental cars or vans are required. SBA (Santa Barbara Airport) is only about a 10-minute trip—Santa Barbara MTD’s airport and Goleta bus routes connect the terminal with the UCSB / Isla Vista area near housing for about $1.50, or take a short Uber/Lyft.
Stays are arranged through the largest private off-campus student housing provider in Isla Vista—Tropicana Del Norte and Tropicana Gardens. They offer 3-bedroom / 2-bathroom suites that can hold up to 8 athletes, coaches, or parents with individual beds, at $96 per night per person. That rate includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus laundry, wifi, and pool access.
Tropicana is holding 120 suites (850 beds) for our event, so every YCC athlete can stay at the same place if your team prefers. Book early for June; registered teams get captain updates on logistics.
